Banbury Turf is a small family run business which was established some 40 years ago, originally just as a Turf supply company supplying landscapers, now a company that supplies not only a wide range of different grades ofTurfs, but also quality Soil, Barks, Composts, Aggregates, and other Landscaping products, to both Trade & Public. We also offer a Turf laying and Full Landscaping Service. Our experience in Turf Laying & Landscaping spans nearly half a century.
We are situated in the heart of Oxfordshire close to the both the Warwickshire and Gloucestershire borders making the Cotswolds our back garden. We are also ideally placed to cover parts of Northants, Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire & Wiltshire, however we are able to deliver nationwide so it is always worth asking, as we will always do our very best to accommodate your needs.
The business was originally founded over 40 years ago by Marcus’s stepfather Frank who was supplying Marcus with Turf all over the south of the country doing many building sites. When Frank decided to retire from the business, it coincided nicely with Marcus starting a family of his own and so it was taken over by Marcus and Sue.
The business was coordinated from a small home office by Sue, allowing her to also stay home and raise the family. The business rapidly grew, as did the children and Joe joined the company as a landscaper in 2012.
In those early years the business sold 90% Meadow Turf, which was all grown locally, it was not until gardening got more fashionable and shows such as Ground Force came on the TV that people wanted Cultivated Turf and Specialist Turfs, changing everything. It also brought in, the need to supply Top Soils, Composts, Barks, Aggregates etc.
We have supplies of fresh Turf almost daily, mainly cut to order (due to it being a living product) and our other products are bought in, in bulk deliveries where we bag ourselves to the customers requirements, so should you need a mixed bag of Soil / Compost for your flower beds we can mix it for you ready for you to just put in. We also have facilities to supply loose bulk loads.
